How long do we have to wait, 10 Years?
OUR STORY
Jacob and Leah met within the first few weeks of Freshman year at CU Boulder. They were both in the Engineering Honors Program (EHP) and both lived in the EHP dorm, Andrews Hall. Despite living in the same building, Jacob and Leah first officially met in the dining hall. Leah was searching for a place to sit when Jacob offered for her to sit with him and his roommate (now best friend). After that, Jacob would message Leah relentlessly on GroupMe, inviting her to movie nights in his room. They made it official on September 19th, 2017.
Why Chautauqua?
Aside from being a beautiful resort and wedding venue, Chautauqua Park is a special place to both Leah and Jacob. Long before they even knew each other, they both spent their summers at the park as children. Leah would stay in a cottage with her family for up to a month each summer, and Jacob spent his summer days at “sword camp” as a camper, then counselor, for the live-action role-playing (LARP) day camp. Leah used to watch the “sword boys” running around wondering what they were up to, without a clue that her future husband was among them!
